Lambda-Cyhalothrin 10 WP

Acute Toxicity

  • Acute Oral Toxicity: Studies conducted on rats indicate that Lambda-Cyhalothrin falls under Category II for acute oral toxicity.
  • Acute Dermal Toxicity: Rat studies classify it as Category III for acute dermal toxicity.
  • Acute Inhalation Toxicity: Similarly, it is classified as Category III for acute inhalation toxicity based on studies in rats.

Irritation and Sensitization

  • Primary Eye Irritation: Rabbit studies show that Lambda-Cyhalothrin is classified as Category IV for primary eye irritation, indicating minimal irritation.
  • Primary Skin Irritation: Rabbit studies also classify it as Category IV for primary skin irritation, indicating minimal irritation.
  • Dermal Sensitization: Tests on guinea pigs indicate that Lambda-Cyhalothrin is not a dermal sensitizer.

These results suggest that Lambda-Cyhalothrin has moderate acute toxicity through oral and dermal routes, and minimal irritation potential for eyes and skin. It does not act as a sensitizer, implying a lower risk for allergic reactions upon skin contact.
